Call for Artists: Milieux x MTL connect 2024

Milieux is thrilled to partner with Printemps numérique for the 6th edition of MTL connect. This annual international event brings together, entrepreneurs, researchers, industry professionals and artists to explore the evolving challenges and issues of the digital revolution.

On October 16th, Milieux will host a delegation of international curators for a tour of the Institute and a 5 à 7 event in the atrium on the 11th floor. This is a fantastic opportunity for members to showcase their work, expand their network and initiate new projects!

Due to technical constraints, there are two ways to participate:
  • Have your work featured in a digital catalogue that will be shared with the curators. Just fill up this form by September 27th !

  • Submit your project to be presented in person the atrium. Selected applicants won’t be required to give a public presentation, but are expected to engage with attendees around their projects.

Submission Guidelines to present your work during the 5 à 7:
  • Open to current Milieux members only (priority given to student members).
  • Only final projects will be considered.
  • Each member may submit one project.
  • Incomplete applications won’t be considered.
  • Set up must be done on the same day and removed right after the event. 
To apply:

Proposals should be submitted in one single PDF file sent to ophelie.queffurus@concordia.ca. Please name the file with your name. (e.g Yourname_MTLconnect).

Include in your PDF:
  • Short bio
  • Artist statement (200 words max)
  • Project Description (350 words max)
  • Website/ social media / contact info
  • List of technical requirements (Milieux can assist with set up, but you are responsible for renting equipment at CDA if applicable. Tables and chairs can be provided if needed).
Visual Material:
  • Attach up to 5 images .jpg or links to video to your application email.

  • Selected applicants will be notified shortly after.
  • Event Date: October 16th, 2024 | 5 – 7 pm
