Amber the Maker: Soft Launch

2020-10-06 @ 16:00

Amber the Maker is the story of an 8-year old amputee who gets bullied by her teammates during swim practice. She meets Gentling, a dragon, who will inspire her to create her own prosthetic hand. She will discover a makerspace where she will make her own swimming hand.

The story stems from cutting-edge research developed by professor Ann-Louise Davidson, Concordia University Research Chair in Maker Culture, and Education Makers. The authors of the book will be present and will discuss the story with children. This is an event for everybody including families and older adults.

Join a group of children who will read Amber’s story virtually at 4th SPACE.
