Dr. Samuel Bianchini, an artist and associate professor at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD, PSL Research University, Paris). His work addresses the relationship between technological “dispositifs,” new modes of representation, aesthetic experiences, and sociopolitical organizations.
Bianchini is head of the “Reflective Interaction” research group at EnsadLab and Co- Director of the Arts & Sciences Chair (with École Polytechnique and Daniel & Nina Carasso Foundation). He is a member of the SACRe Laboratory (Sciences Arts Création Recherche, PSL), and a member of Hexagram.
Bianchini has co-edited books such as “Practicable: From Participation to Interaction in Contemporary Art” (2016, MIT Press, with Erik Verhagen) and “Behavioral Objects 1 – A Case Study: Céleste Boursier Mougenot” (2016, Sternberg Press, with Emanuele Quinz). Other works were published by Éditions du Centre Pompidou, Analogues, Media-N – Journal of the New Media Caucus, Hermes, and Les Presses du Réel.
