DESCRIPTION:GAMERella\, the world’s longest-running annual game jam and workshop series dedicated to supporting marginalized game creators and aspiring game makers\, is back! Their upcoming edition is scheduled for November 11-12\, 2023. Over the years\, hundreds of individuals have crafted their very first games at GAMERella\, benefiting from the guidance of our incredible industry mentors\, engaging live and video workshops\, and the relaxed atmosphere that fosters creativity. Now\, it’s your turn to shine! \nGAMERella extends a warm invitation to women (cis/trans)\, trans men\, non-binary/genderqueer individuals\, LGBTQIA2S+\, BIPOC\, and anyone who feels they haven’t had the opportunity to create a game. Join us for a weekend of enjoyable game-making on November 11-12\, 2023. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to unleash your creativity and make meaningful connections in the gaming community! \nWHERE IS THE JAM? \nLocation: District 3 Innovation Centre: Concordia University – FB building\, 6th floor (1250 Rue Guy\, Montréal\, QC H3H 2L3) \nWHEN IS THE JAM? \nNovember 11-12\, 2023 \nThe jam will start Saturday at 10am and wrap up at Sunday 6pm. However\, we think sleeping is more important than making games\, so we will all be sending you home to have a good sleep at night’s sleep! \nAll participants will be invited to submit their game to our itch.io jam page! \nMY TEAM \nIf you have a team already\, you can skip this part! Just show up and jam the jam! \nBut if you are looking for a new team member or a whole team you can participate in our amazing in-person team-making session Saturday morning.
