Abstract

This article profiles Assistant Professor and Post Image member Sanaz Sohrabi whose work centers on the oil industry. Since 2017, Sohrabi has been examining archives from British Petroleum, exploring how oil extraction reshaped the culture and memory of Iran’s Khuzestan province, and exposing the colonial politics embedded in what appear to be documentary images.
