Facing the climate crisis, the socio-ecological transition is unfolding in the form of citizen initiatives that seek to transform living environments and are organized around practices in different areas of action, particularly regarding zero waste, greening, ways of living, or energy production. The politicization of these actions is varied and non-linear: some advocate for a profound transformation of the world, others claim a place for citizen experiments that avoid conflict.

This book, which explores the links between public and collective actions as well as the effects of citizen action on existing policies, will interest researchers and activists as well as those involved in supporting transitions and planners. It emphasizes everyday environmentalism, where citizens prefigure other ways of life, as well as the sustainability of these experiments.
