Angélique Willkie

Multidisciplinary artist Angélique Willkie is the co-director of the Performing Arts Research Cluster (LePARC) at Milieux. She is Associate Professor of Contemporary Dance in the Department of Fine Arts and Co-chair of the Concordia University Task Force on Anti-Black Racism. She is also special advisor to the provost on black integration and knowledges.

Since resettling in Montreal in 2014, Angélique has continued to be active in Montreal’s professional community as teacher, creator and dramaturge. Her research interests focus on interdisciplinary artistic creation, European circus aesthetics, personal dramaturgy, and the use of voice as a creative and performance tool.
