The film stars Jean‑Claude Van Damme as Colonel William F. Guile\, who leads an international force against the tyrannical warlord General M. Bison\, portrayed memorably by Raul Julia in his final theatrical role. Blending large‑scale action\, military spectacle\, and comic‑book excess\, the film takes a loose\, stylized approach to the source material.
