Ofrendas Digital : Digital Offerings
November 5 | 17:00 - 19:00

Join us on November 5, 2026, for a workshop led by Concordia’s 2026–2027 Fulbright Scholar and IFRC Affiliate, Dominick Porras.
Digital Ofrendas is a photography-based workshop designed to participate in the spirit of constructing your own personalized Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda (offering). Within this 2-hour workshop, participants will engage in a brief presentation on the significance of Dia de los Muertos while printing with mobile app-based Polaroid technology printers and learn traditional hands-on Polaroid emulsion lifting processes. Participants are encouraged to bring in digital images on your personal mobile device, of loved ones or things for printing on Polaroid film.
Within the Mexican/Latino Diáspora, Dia de los Muertos is recognized on Nov. 2 as a day of remembrance for those who have passed into the spiritual realms joining our ancestors. As a way to honor our loved ones, Ofrendas (offerings) are constructed physical gestures that emit gratitude and reverence.
🎟️ Space is limited, so please make sure register to attend.
This workshop is open exclusively to members of the Concordia community.
