As MUTEK marks its 25th anniversary, the major event for electronic music and digital art fans prepares to redefine boundaries once again while solidifying its position at the forefront of digital creation. This association significantly reinforces Milieux’s footprint in Montreal’s research-creation and digital art landscape.

Occurring simultaneously with the festival, from August 20th to 23rd, 2024, the MUTEK Forum will convene a diverse array of artists, researchers, technology professionals, digital experts, and innovators. This edition of the Forum will be held at Monument-National and promises to transform the iconic building in a vibrant hub of creative technology, offering participants stimulating talks, panels, workshops, masterclasses, film screenings, and networking opportunities.

As part of the special 10th edition, Milieux Institute will be actively involved on the final day of the Forum, engaging in discussions centered around Resonant Futures: Shaping a More Equitable Future in Music and Technology. In collaboration with the Applied AI Institute, Milieux will co-present the inaugural “Wilding AI Lab”. This ground-breaking showcase will provide Milieux members with an opportunity to present their research or research-creation project, exploring the latest advancements in generative, creative AI.
